Hanami 2012

Cherry blossom season is almost at an end.  The blossoms  explode into colour almost overnight, and within two weeks they are gone. I haven't done much hanami-ing this year but here are some pictures.

Beautiful, all of them. The petals have already started falling. I feel like shouting, "Wait! Come back! Don't go yet!" :(

:) I also love the daffodil at this time of year - they are totally overshadowed by the sakura often literally as well as in the popular imagination.

The bursts of yellow after a long cold winter.... ii ne..

I miss the insanity of hanami.... You were with me in Yanaka (?) cemetery many years ago weren't you? People dancing between the graves to violins, the pizza delivery man...!

Pretty photos...I really liked the one of the petals and stones.

I wasn't at Yanaka - I was in Aus that year from memory. I was at the one in Ueno the year before with Jojoebi. It's good to see you back blogging.

Mrs N, The fallen petals are as pretty as the ones on the tree. :)
