Yesterday in a quest to find a laundry bag I popped in to
ABAB in Okachimachi. It's the
shitamachi girls answer to Harajuku and Shibuya, a paradise for
beauty products, fashion essentials including and impressive array of stockings, pantyhose,
socks and frilly bloomers(scroll down for picture on linked page) . The 100 yen shop on top was the place to go.... it had never occurred to me that there could be such variety of laundry bags. There are bags with thick net, fine net, large size, small size, b
ags for silk (only) clothes fleeces, dark coloured clothes, work shirts, sweaters, circular bra shaped nets, nets with floating sponges.... The mind boggles and I restrained myself from buying one of each to do compare and contrasts.

Here's another ABAB fan! Half the fun is watching the characters in the shop and (perhaps even more so) the characters across the street in the soapland district! :D
I'm always amazed by the things that ABAB sells... Soapland customer spotting, that definitely has potential as a hobby ;)
