O.M.G-DON'T try it!! Several years ago when we were in Japan for one of our several-times-a-year visits I decided to "try" it. I didn't have time to cover my gray before we left so I thought-eh...I'll just get a bottle of dye in Japan and do it there. YEAH..RIGHT! I refused hubbys help when he offered to help me chose color...how hard can it be, I thought? Just look at the picture and get one that matches your hair color...right?? I'm blond-so when I saw a box with "blond" on it-I bought it. I literally cried when I saw my hair after I dyed it. The bleach turned my hair a really strange orange color. I mean it was ORANGE. We had to go to an important family function the next day!!! To this day I wonder what Masaaki's old uncles and aunts thought of his gaijin wife with the orange hair!! Never again. But I am wondering what I am going to do about my gray in Japan. Maybe I will have to dye my hair black? I see lots of black dye in the stores...but I've never seen blond-except for bleach!
