Mannequins on high

I passed this mannequin perched above a restaurant in Nishi Shinjuku near the PO the other day. I can't explain their popularity, but it's not that strange to see them.

Above a noodle shop in Itabashi.
For a run down on some of the famous mannequins of Tokyo's east side see Rurousha's blog - http://rurousha.blogspot.jp/2012/02/five-scoundrels-on-asakusas-roofs.html?m=1

Nishi-Shinjuku? Near the PO?! I haven't seen it and I'm there so often. Can I blame my glasses? Few years old, fogging up in the humidity ... :D

It's... in a street that runs parallel to the train tracks close to the PO on the koshu kaido side. It is in the middle of the PO block. I didn't stop to ask about who he was or why he was there.

You didn't get his autograph? Hmph.

OTOH I did make a mental note that I should eat there and ask someday :)
