The sakura have gone... till next year.
Japan is a long country that, according to Wikipedia goes from 24°N to 46°N. After sakura in Tokyo we saw them again in Fukushima on the weekend, and this weekend in Akita they should be in full bloom as well. Hanami spread out over an entire month.... not bad.

A month of cherry blossoms? I'm trying very hard not to be jealous. (I'm not succeeding.)

If I didn't have class today, I would have gone on to Akita yesterday, as it is it will be up and early biking on Thurs. :)
